The Earth Dollar Changes Everything!

Earth Dollar,GDP,Living Economy

"System Change” has been a rallying cry catalyzing all types of social movements around the world.

The root cause of poverty, pollution, climate change, war, the extinction of species, scarcity, and hyper-competition is the cancer of “Our Current Economic System”, which is based on the unlimited growth of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and the accounting system that is supporting this madness called General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Our economy grows by the extraction of resources, such as fossil fuels, mining, clear-cutting of forests, over-fishing and the destruction of our environment to produce products we often don't need, just for the sake of growing our economy. The most important resource that this dead economy extracts is our human energy, our time and our human potential; people are expendable in order to produce disposable products at the lowest cost for the highest profit. This often creates dead end jobs which popular culture calls McJobs. We simply become slaves to the system, while the environment becomes degraded and destroyed.

Environmental destruction is just one of the symptoms of cancer that are destroying our planet; nothing will ever change until the root cause of the cancer is eradicated by changing our system. Clean water, clean air and a healthy environmental is necessary to sustain all life on our planet. We need to change the system that only benefits 1% of the population, leaving 99% of the people in the dust. There can be "no jobs on a dead planet" if we do not change the system.

“Humanity Has Overshot The Earth’s Biocapacity. Humans are ‘using one and a half planets’ worth of resources and will need two Earths by 2030. The world’s people are now living lifestyles which would require one and a half planets to sustain, though there are significant differences between rich and poor nations.

In 2008, the Earth’s total biocapacity was 12.0 billion gha, or 1.8 gha per person, while humanity’s Ecological Footprint was 18.2 billion gha or 2.7 gha per person. This discrepancy means it would take 1.5 years for the Earth to fully regenerate the renewable resources that people used in one year, or in other words, we used the equivalent of 1.5 Earths to support our consumption.

Just as it is possible to withdraw money from a bank account more quickly than the interest that accrues, biocapacity can be reused more quickly than it regenerates. Eventually, the resources – our natural capital, will be depleted just like running down reserves in a bank account. At present, people are often able to shift their sourcing when faced with local resource limitations. However, if consumption continues to increase as it has in the past decades, the planet as a whole will eventually run out of resources. Some ecosystems will collapse and cease to be productive even before the resource is fully depleted.” (Source: Report: Humanity Has Overshot The Earth’s Biocapacity, BY JEFF SPROSS DEC 15, 2012)

GDP is based on false assumption of unlimited economic growth, but this is theoretically impossible on a finite planet.

We will need 2 Earths by the year 2030 to maintain the present lifestyle of people.

(We will need 2 Earths by the year 2030 to maintain the present lifestyle of people.)

Our solution is to introduce an asset-backed sovereign currency called the Earth Dollar to fund our transition to a green economy that is free of poverty. The Earth Dollar is backed by tradable Smart Asset Tokens. The Smart Asset Tokens are a basket of dormant, underused, undervalued and unused assets, such as fresh water, trees, land, mineral rights, carbon credits, real estate, maple syrup, organic fruit and vegetable farms, green bonds, equity and much more. Billions of dollars of assets have already been pledged to support the Earth Dollar and our transition to a post-extraction economy.

Using the Earth Dollar and our Sovereign Humanitarian Blockchain call the Mother Earth Network (Blockchain), we will run a parallel decentralized “Living Economic System” where new wealth is generated by caring for Mother Earth and caring for each other. Our H.O.M.E. (Heal Our Mother Earth) will become the new economy that we envision.
